Description:

This course will help to broaden participant understanding of the role of occupational therapy in wound care and promoting skin integrity for individuals with spinal cord injuries, as well as the medically complex and amputee populations. Preventions and techniques to help with decreasing pressure wounds, maintaining good hygiene, and healthy skin will be discussed. Strategies will be shared to increase patient awareness of the importance of ensuring good skin integrity to promote good quality of life.
