Letters from the Editors

Welcome to the inaugural edition of our newsletter! As I sit down to write this, I’m filled with a deep sense of excitement and gratitude. Journalism and occupational therapy (two of my passions) may seem like an unlikely pair, but to me, they share a powerful common thread: the ability to uplift, inform, and bring people together. Both fields celebrate the human experience—our stories, our challenges, and our triumphs. And this newsletter is a space where those stories can shine.

At its core, this publication is about community and inclusion. It’s not just a newsletter—it’s your newsletter. It should reflect the voices, experiences, and achievements of those who make up this incredible community. Whether you want to write an article, share a photo, highlight a colleague, or celebrate a small (or big!) win, this is your platform to do so. Everyone has a story to tell, and every contribution adds to the richness of our shared experience.

My hope is that this newsletter will always remain open, accessible, and representative of the occupational therapy practitioners throughout Ohio. This is a space where collaboration thrives, where diverse perspectives are celebrated, and where we can learn from one another. I invite each of you to take part in shaping its future—because the most meaningful stories are the ones we create together.

Thank you for being here, for sharing, and for making this community what it is. I can’t wait to see what we build together.

With gratitude,

Nathan Grizenko
